S4P Bike Park is a recently established venue thanks to B1KE, who worked closely with the council to get this venue sanctioned. Previously known as the Milford Trails, SP4 now boasts lines for a abilities, as well as being an all-year-round venue thanks to the sand based soil.
From the start mound, trails are laid out progressively with beginner tabletops on the left up to a rather huge line on the far right. The largest set of jumps are closed generally and only opened on special occasions. There is also a BMX pump line on the far left and a small pump track at the bottom of the trails. SP4 Bike Park is open all year, but when we visited after a lot of rain a couple of sections were unridable due to puddles between jumps. On the whole though it holds out pretty well for our climate.
Leave the town via Portsmouth Road as if you were going to join the A3 southbound. Just before it becomes a slip road, there is a turning to the right with a height restriction barrier. Take this lane. It will take you under the dual carriageway to the carpark. As you enter the carpark, the footpath on your right is the one to take to the trails.
